Our New Normal: What Will My Family Photography Session Be Like?
I hope that your family is safe, healthy, and secure. We’ve all been affected by the stress of the COVID-19 pandemic in different ways, and I hope that you’re able to find time to relax, take a break, and enjoy your family.
When the shelter-in-place orders took affect, I respected the ordinance by temporarily halting business and staying home to help flatten the curve. As San Diego businesses are beginning to open back up, I’m really excited to be safely photographing families again.
I am currently booking outdoor Family Portrait Sessions and Family Adventure Sessions. (At-home and indoor sessions are temporarily on hold.)
Safety will be my top priority when photographing families. Here is how I will keep your family safe and healthy during photography sessions:
I will wear a mask to all outdoor family photography sessions.
I will practice good hand hygiene, and avoid touching you and your family during the session.
I will use longer focal length lenses so that I can stay six feet away at all times, while still capturing images that will feel like I am closer.
I will ask you to provide your own blanket for seated photographs.
I will sanitize all of my photography gear and equipment immediately prior to and after your session.
I will only book one family photography session per day.
I will not take any chances with health. I will reschedule if I (or anyone in my household) has been sick, been exposed to Covid, or had any symptoms in any way within two weeks of your session date. I ask that you do the same. I will make room in my schedule for any and all rescheduling needs.
While none of us know what to expect for the foreseeable future, I want to make sure you’re able to get your family photos done this year. It is always my privilege to be trusted to capture your family’s memories. I do not take that privilege lightly, especially during this crisis.
If you'd like to book your session, I will reserve your date deposit-free, in case we need to make adjustments due to any health concerns or shelter-in-place restrictions. I can’t wait to see you in front of my camera again soon!
